Am i getting thi8s wrong, but it seems like all of the phone companies are only focusing on the UK and will not offer the iphone4/4g/HD to us anytime in the near future??

This is kinda annoying now. If i want to get this phone around launch it looks like i will have to order online and pay an arm and a leg to get it.

If you look at vodaphone or 02, their uk sites show info on it, but none is displayed on irish counterparts.

mods, seriously. can we make an iphone 4 sticky? there are at least three threads with all the info, and almost nobody is reading them, instead starting threads that with a small bit of reading would answer.

to sum up anyone who wants info, as of today:

its out in july in ireland.
no, we dont know what date in july yet.
no we dont know officially yet what networks are doing it (most likely o2 and vodafone)
no we dont know the price yet.
no we dont know if networks are going to do upgrade deals.

please understand it was a bank holiday yesterday, most of the network depts were closed, they're taking in all the info the same as us. and formulating marketing and launch details as we speak, it'll be a little while before any info is out.

patience young padewan, its just a phone.

It will most likely be the same as they are now. The US price's aren't changing so there's no reason the pricing here will.

Does the iPhone 4 take the old 3GS price and the 3Gs go to the current price of a 3G one?

Yes, you are getting it wrong. :)

Ireland is a small market, it makes financial sense to concentrate on the big markets first. It's been standard practice for the past number of years with Apple, nothing new here.

I'm going to close this thread as there is a lot of cross-over between this thread and many others.

Keep things all in once place, you understand.
