    Hi,

I will be flying out of Dublin to Asia tomorrow, and plan to pick up some duty free booze as a present. But as I transfer in Copenhagen I am not sure if it is currently possible.

I remember that there were Issues with buying Duty Free Liquids when having to transfer.

Is it ok if the transfer is within the EU?

    Regards,
    DubDani

Yes, its ok to Transfer, it'll be sealed in a Duty Free bag, just don't remove it from that and you'll be fine.

The only problems you could face are hand luggage restrictions, or if you take it through security.

the last few times, coming the other way, from Asia to Dublin transferring in EU, I haven't been allowed to purchase duty free as it's over the 100ml. Pretty crappy.

I passed through CPH 5 weeks ago on my way back from BKK

Security gates seperate non-EU flight from EU flights

Your Bkk/Asia duty free will be confiscated at the security gate
    (even if its sealed)

Heard a story today of a guy who tried to do this. Had two big vodka bottles with him and he wasn't allowed through with them. In a rage he downed the two bottles and had a stroke and died.

    So....I wouldn't.
