Possibly a stupid question: On Chorus, can you record with the monitor switched off?

I'm assuming the answer is yes, the television can be switched off as long as the box under the TV isn't also switched off. I just want to be sure.

An equally stupid question: if there's a power outtage or something during the time the show you're recording is on, will you lose the recording?

Yes you can leave the TV off, and if the box power goes, the recording will stop also

The box can be switched off but not unplugged, the tv can be unplugged.
During power outtages nothing will be recorded.

The TV does not need to be plugged in but the digi box does. It can however be left on Stand-by and it will still record.
