Ok so basically I have decided I want to do a round the world trip, in 2 yrs time, when I hit 30:eek: yikes.
So I am looking for some realistic advice re finances, best places to go, what to avoid, worth doing a trailfinders tour or should I book flights individually.
My main concern is the budget -New Zealand & Canada are a must, everything else is flexible. Opinions please :D

Trailfinders is easier. Booking flights from Ireland - Aus via north or south America is expensive. You could buy as you go the other direction then if you want.

I don't know what you mean by trailfinders tour. You mean book your flights with them or an actual organised tour with a guide. Each to their own but I'd go it alone.

You're talking around 2000 Euro a month for Canada/NZ. Everywhere else pretty much would be cheaper.
