Webber gets contract extension

    Just after seeing on Autosport that Webber has signed a new one year extension with Red Bull. I'm surprised that this was all that he could get considering other teams were almost certainly interested.

    For the form he is in a one year extension surely wasnt what he was looking for but RBR offer him the best chance of being competitive again next year so they clearly held the higher card in this game. It should help to draw a line under Turkey for the team too

    ferrari are full so are mcl and mrc, renault would be the only possibility with petrovs seat, and he doing well to hold that, RB had all the cards, only thing he could logically hope for is a nice rise, did he get that?

    I think most people would pick 1 year at a competitive team over 2 years or more money at a midfield team.
