    Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some legal advice for a friend. I'm not sue if anyone will be able to help but here it goes anyway!

My friend lost his brother in a work-place accident about 3 and a half years ago which was as a reult of his employer's negligence.
He learnt that there was a time-frame of 2 years on taking a civil action against the employer. Therefore, his parents are now statute-barred and can have no method of taking legal action.

So, here's my question. My friend was a minor at the time of the incident (aged 17). He believes that there are different rules for minors in that they have a period of 6 years to take a claim. Is this true? And would it be possible for him to take a case, as he is only a sibling of the person who died?

I'd be really greatful for any advice. Thank you.

not wanting to give you a short answer but,

no practitioner on this site can advise you. You really should speak to a Solicitor who will speak to you, and advise you accordingly.
