    Hi,

Are Granite Window boards better in a kitchen than timber window boards or are they just a waste of money?
Would you be better tiling the window boards?

On upstands, have you ever seen people tile above the upstand up to the press. Does this look odd?

    Thanks

    Hi,

We've got granite upstands and window boards and I love them. Wouldnt have it any other way. You dont have to put in the window boards but they are the first thing that anyone comments on when they come into our kitchen. As for the upstands, we havent tiled over ours and dont know anyone that has!

We have granite upstands and a granite windowboard - looks great.
    Very practical.:)

If using a timber windowboard against a granite upstand (over a granite counter) maybe make sure the windowboard is the same timber as the kitchen units.
