Thinking of doing a last minute deal holiday this year and Fuerteventura could be on the cards! Could anyone that's been give me some advice on the place? Which would be a better place to stay, Corralejo or Caleta de Fuste? Read some reviews that the self catering places there are a dirty nightmare ! Hope they r not true !

    :)

    Hey there ,

Just back from Corralejo and was in Calete 2 years ago . Stayed in Barcelo in Calete which was lovely and in the Atlantis Suite Hotel in Corralejo , which was also fabulous. These are both AI hotels and were really clean. We chose these hotels deliberatley so we wouldnt have to leave the hotel much.
Both resorts are quiet , with Calete probably being the livelier , although there is more to do in Corralejo like biking , water parks etc.....
Beaches are small in both resorts although Corralejo has the large sand dunes nearby which are amazing . I think I would go to Corralejo over Calete , but thats travelling with a young child so I would be looking for self contained holiday with water park nearby etc.... Also Corralejo is where the Lanzarote ferry goes from for day trips.
Try and get a cheap flight (might be a little late tho) and book accomadation seperately (works out cheaper) , then use resort hoppa for the transfers which are great value .If you are into All Inclusive , Atlantis Suite is reccomended , but not if you dont have kids cos it's full of them :D

Any other Q's , just ask.
