Well everyone, whoever think about to go for broadband with UPC read this. That shows you how UPC treats customers. I posted story which happened to me about month ago and the same again. So i really don't know. Are they stupid or just don't know what they doing.

Here is copy of my email to customer service from yesterday:

Hi, Just over a month ago i ordered fibre power broadband with the television and phone package and the sales person on the phone confirmed my order and said everything was good to go ahead. The engineer called like arranged to install everything but on arrival told me that there was a filter on the line which meant i could not get broadband so i complained to you and was contacted and you did apologise and explained that there was a problem on my side of the street with one house so after all this i said ok. Last week two coloured men called to my house offering the broadband again but i explained to them what happened and they should me a piece of paper with my address on it saying that is was available that any problem before had been rectified. I did not believe it so i sent an e mail to find out about it, so you then contacte me by phone and i was speaking to a salesman named Cian and he also confirmed that it was available saying that he had two different programs opened on his computer and said he was 100% sure that broadband was available at my address. I was asked if i wanted to go ahead with it and i told him i must first contact Imagine as i had ordered WiMax with them so i canceled my order with Imagine and called Cian your salesman back and ordered 15mb broadband so it was arranged that an engineer would call today Friday 4th June to install, but on arrival he told me that the broadband was not available on my side of the street because of the same filter but i explained to him that you contacted me saying everything was fixed so he said ok he can try connect the broadband so he did without success. He advised me to contact the company he works for and to also contact you so i am just wondering what kind of company you are if you have people working for you who do not know what they are doing the engineer told me that they all know about the problem on my street but apparently you still don't even after i complained the last time. Can you please contact me if you are going to do something about this problem as i am not the only one who is looking for broadband on this street as i need to start thing about what other companies can offer me.

Well, i was contacted last night and only because i sent copy of this email to ICL (Integrated Communication Ltd. in Carlow) and they told them to ring me and apologize to me. And explain me that they have nothing to do with UPC and it is not them fault. So, she did apologize to me but she said that all she can do is send my email to department of complaints and they will contact me. What means goodbye for me.

    That is chorus/NTL in Ireland.

    Regards,
    Peter

What does it matter if they were coloured men?
Were they Pink, Orange or Green maybe?

I really, really hope you didn't send that to them.

It's barely legible. Paragraphs and punctuation are your friend. And as for "coloured"..oh dear.

It doesn't matter for me, but that email was addressed to UPC customer service and so they can recognize them easier. That is the point. But back to your question no they were different colour than pink, orange, green.
If you have a bit manors you know why i used word like this. I am not racist.

    Thanks for post, anyway.

    for BuffyBot

why what is wrong with it? Can you not understand what am i going about in that email. The point is if you don't put pressure on them then they just don't give a crap about you. In my house estate is over 200 houses and only 6 houses which is only one street can not get broadband because of a filter on the cable and they can not find it because they don't care. Is it fair for me as a customer? There is recession in this country so they should fight for customers and not pushing them away.
And i'm sorry if ''coloured'' is big deal for you but i'm from country with good manors, so i think white, black or yellow is not a right word.

    Thanks

Good manners would have been not to mention whether they were coloured or not.

If you have good 'manors' then surely you are rich enough to have some coloured men install satellite broadband?

    I'm afraid i disagree.
Calling some people 'coloured' doesn't make you politically correct and above racism. I didn't call you a racist either but funny how you felt the need to bring it up. I am also from a country with good manners and would just say 2 men called to my house. Anyway its getting off the thread so i'll leave it there.
Ps i have my own house, i wouldn't call it a 'manor' but its my own

well, i can see that everyone just missed the point. But i thought that i'm in section about Cable & MMDS & IPTV and not in section about racism.
And i think it is obvious that i'm not Irish so i just didn't know that sppeling mistake is big deal again (talking about the manners).

    but thanks for correcting me.

see you all in next cartoon.

Nice manners and you were the one who mentioned racism first so don't reproach us about it not being a racism thread

But don't you get it? You mentioned they were "coloured" and that's what everyone picked up on. What do you think the recipients of your letter thought?

don't you get it, i don't care what they think because that is not gonna help me. But obviously it helped because i got phone call and they going to do something about it. I am not person who is only talking about problem or like you picking something, i just done what i done and it helped.

    End of story.

Don't you get it? The people in UPC won't take your letter seriously if you say things like "two coloured men called". You may not care what they think but if they don't listen to you, you will achieve nothing.
