Ask the main dealers to be sure. I change oil + filter in my yoke every 9K miles. Its a 3litre Landcruiser. She gets a fully once a year, so about every 20K miles

It varies from car to car, you'll find all the details in the car's service book.

The Service Schedule is the place to start as Anan1 stated. It does vary depending on make, model and year.

Post the make/model/year and maybe someone with an similar car will be able to give you a good indication.

Take whatever the service book/dealer is saying, divide it by 2 and you have your schedule.
Dealers do not want you to service your car, they want it to break down so you have to buy new parts or even better, a new car :p

and i would guess one of the main reasons for turbos blowing is people simply do not leave the car ticking over for a minute or two after doing a journey.
turbos need time to cool down after use.

We know that but how many Joe Soap owners know, very few I would say.

About every 9k miles or once a year would be grand.

I changed the oil and oil filter every 5000km and the plugs are 40k km plugs in my Teg...

I check most items on my car every week including my brakes so i changed them when necessary

Every car is different, if ya change the oil and oil filter in time, no car will ever give ya engine trouble...
