Anyone want to be a Garda?.This is your chance?.You could find yourself in the front line defending Dail eireann from the howing mobs.Free baton supplied.
    Oh.........and don't forget the allowances.

More than 100 trainee gardai could be taken on at the end of the year in the first wave of new recruits since the public sector jobs moratorium, it was revealed today.
Justice Minister Dermot Ahern said an ad campaign would run over the next few weeks to attract people to register interest in joining the force.

With this and the teachers seems the Government are targeting certain public sector areas for jobs. The areas chosen are probably related to the increase in unemployment?.............more crime?.......more people returning to education.

The reason i posted in AH,is because of the large amount of Ah'ers who have posted in various threads on how the job should be done.Though this would be an oportunity for any unemployed ah'ers who are interested to take up the gauntlet and become Gardai.:D

I would like to see some of their ideas on policing come to fruition

The forum is closed due to lack of interest funding!

I'm not sure that they allow new recruits direct policy.

Being a caped crime fighter by night and a cop during the day would be too much of a conflict for me!
