Hopefully this means we'll be getting new hd channels, Sky Movies HD would be fantastic!

HD is old news now for Sky, 3D TV is there next big thing, I can see them allowing there HD channels on other platforms here (UPC) so they get revenue for the advancement of 3D TV.

I wouldn't say HD is old news for Sky. They will launch more HD channels as time goes on. Perhaps when they drop their monthly charge for HD they might consider it old news but I feel that is a long way away.

The Sky deal to buy Virgins TV channels (Virgin 1/Living/Bravo) and Sky allowing Virgin media to carry the HD channels wont impact on UPC carrying Sky HD channels.

As it stands I cannot see Sky rushing to allow UPC to carry their HD channels anytime soon.....
