Where to get Bulgarian Currency

I'm wondering if I can get by Bulgarian Currency before my holiday or do I have to wait until I get there?
I've checked the AIB website and it's not listed as one of the currencys that can be order from them.
I'm worried that if I leave with none that the Bureau de Change will be closed when I arrive at the airport as it will be midnight!! I know there will probably be an ATM but just would like some cash on me incase I have any problems with my card!
Any advice?

You would have to order it from a bank, the Lev as far as I can remember.

We went from cork airport in 2007. I changed about 40 euro worth in the small bank kiosk in the terminal and changed the rest in the hotel over. Their meant be be safest.

Avoid the shop keepers and every one else trying to "help" you change currency.

Think I got mine in the airport on the way out a few years ago. The airport ones are likely to have a larger variety of notes in stock than a highstreet bank.

No problem getting levs when you arrive anyway. Bureau de change everywhere.
