Oaks day at Epsom

Flicking through the form it looks a good opportunity to let a few bullets fly aswell as enjoy the top class racing.

Competitive handicaps and excellent group horses...FAG looks a standout bet in the Coronation Stakes...evens and if i had more money I'd be investing it. Sariska is a very good horse in her own right but FAG looks like he's even better than his second in the Derby last year. Evens is a pretty short price considering the level of competition but if he runs his race he wins.

The Oaks is a horrible race to try figure out. I wouldn't be aving a bet at this stage and looks one to watch. Aviate didn't beat much but she looks like she wasn't slowing down at 1m2f so will get the 1m4f. Timepiece cant be ruled out just because its Cecil and he has a lot of faith. Rumoush ought to be favorite, Sajjhaa relies on trainer trust also....and theres more....very difficult.

The Diomed has Mabait who let me down along with Timepiece in a double on Lingfield Oaks day but can improve again. I prefer Pentinent with Mutagh up.

Jordanau is my horse in the Mile...still on the up grade and only 2 start at 8f finishing 2nd twice by less than half a length in total. Jamie Spencer taking over from Jerry O'Dwyre whos not been firing lately.

Tartan Gunna looks the obvious selection in the Challenge with such consistent results but I'd take a chance on Australia Day. Front runner, possibly fastest in the race and stamina unquestioned. Depending on fitness, he may not come back to them.

in the Surrey Stakes I like Shakespearean but the penalty is enough to put me off. I dont have a serious opinion of the race and will be interested to see if Curtains can defy her odds make the frame @ 33/1.

Whistleinthewind is a very big price in the Opportunity Handicap and ran over too far a distance on his seasonal debut last time out. Still quite unexposed. Gary Moore hasn't had many winners of late but worth a small ew I think after run and back in distance.

    Any thoughts?

i just can't resist the 7/2 on sariska myself
    its far too big imo.

mabait cost me dear the last time when narrowly beatan.
at the prices id prefer penitent at 4s

can't figure out the oaks myself
i might go with aviate given how well she finished
over 2f shorter last time and with cecils record in the oaks.
    it looks wide open though

penitent was a total blowout. Never picked up, not even late. Something amiss or the ground was just too fast for him

Akdarena in the oaks guys. Improving at a rate of knots and bolger not going to epsom to sun himself. This one wants this trip and she'll be staying powerfully.
I think shes a moral ew and i'd reckon JB fancies his chances of beating aviate through a line with gold bubbles
