After being unable to source good cheap subs me and a friend have moved on to Fiocchi High Velocity rounds! before i would only have used subs but i cant believe how quiet they are! After a serious zeroing session! i zero'd at 80yds. im half a dot high for 40yds, and 1 and a half dots low for 200. The rounds were still penetrating thin corrigated iron at 200!

Anyway after this we had to go out and try them out on the real quarry.

We tried 2 permissions, both of which were teaming with bunnies!

we were camping on the top of a hill in a sniping position, me with my Cz and my mate with his 12" browning buckmark and he was still taking headshots at 180yds with a red dot scope! i tell you these rounds are nuts! by far the most consistent high V rounds ive tried!

Majority of the kills were headshots but there were the odd few shoulder shots that were had from standing shots!

Total bag was about 33, but we couldnt find 10 due to it being so dark when we finished! and smart arse had forgotten his torch!

heres the piccy anyway! total found was 23

Rabbits are free and they're found mostly on dry sandy ground, ground easy for digging:p

I was looking at those in cork angling but they were 38 gr, might try a box.
You mentioned on the other thread they were 40gr are you sure they were not the 38 gr?

I phoned up a dealer in Drangan Co. Tipp looking to get some of the fiocchi in 40gr but he only stocked the lower grain HV (38gr I think). And said reports back of these were not to good and won't stock them again.

Now I have tried every type and make of HV's and could never get them to group as well as the Elay or Laupa subs in my CZ style.
So where can I buy these fiocchi's HV's in 40gr, south east area please, to give them a try?????

You wouldn't send a few of those bunnies up to Co. Monaghan would you? I just spent a week walking the fields and hedges of my place near Clones and got 1 bunny!!!

last year my uncle had a problem with the fox as they were snatching the lambs,12 in total were taken with a potential loss of just over 1000,,
it would be a regular week if we took about 5-6 foxs per week for about 4 weeks over 160 acres.

now sence the fox control,my uncle noticed a lot of rabbits so he gave us a buzz,,went out anyway last night with his jeep and the lamp, got 119 rabbits all within about 40 yards, the closest shot was about 2 yards..they just didnt no what the hell was going on...unbelieveable, ive never seen anything like it....?
today anyway went out to see the damage,,they were all gone bar a hand full...

    they sertainly werent lamp shy...;)

Monaghan is one spot not short of rabbits boss. Myself and one or two others know of places where it is literally moving with them, any time of the day.

    Scout about in the car.

Tell me where!! My land used to be thick with them - could go out and get one whenever I fancied, now there's not a single rabbit to be seen on my land or on any of the land round about.
