Looks like Discount Electrical in Mountjoy square is gone bust.

Anyone know where I can contact the official De Dietrich repair engineer in Ireland?
    Thanks,

    Gx

    Gx

could be others going too -one of the big retailers lost their managing director recently ,after laying off another 30 staff -

point to get across to consumers is not to buy extended warrentys at the moment as these are covered by the shop and not the manufacturer
if the shop goes bang like discount electrical just has ,the extended warrenty COULD be worthless if the shop hasnt kicked the 50 per cent up to the insurer (in most cases AIG)

another little known fact is that you can cash in or surrender your extended warrenty for cash -if your appliance had a two year manufactureres warrenty and your appliance is not yet 2 you can cash it in for the full value you paid ,and even if you have gone into the extended warrenty period you can still cash it in on a PRO RATA basis (ie if you have two years left out of three you get back two thirds )
