UPC problems

Have multiviewing in 3 rooms - 2 have been on the blink for the last couple of months telling me to check cables at the back of the media box, no signal, freezing, etc. have been on to UPC at least 5 times, engineer came out today, but within an hour it was back to all the crap again. They said they would see would engineer still be in area, but if I heard nothing by 6.30pm I would have to put in again for somebody to call. Rang again, only to hear that an appointment was arranged for next Saturday - wait in again all day. Told them I would not be in at all that day and the next day for them to call is next Tuesday (again wait in all day). Now I have no tv at all - all rooms are gone. Is there a problem out there with anybody else. I am paying €100 per bill for all this headache, costly when I am out of work too.

    Where are you located?

You should ask for a refund on any services that are not being provided.

Portrane, County Dublin - they did say this morning that they would credit me for any time without service, we will see, so a whole long weekend without any tv - oh lucky me!

Can you get an analogue signal at all?

No signal at all there is a message saying this, no rte, nothing. At least before the engineer came out yesterday I had tv but nothing since.

I mean have you tried getting analogue cable reception, i.e. bypassing the boxes? You may have to connect the cable co-ax directly to your TV and manually tune in the channels. If you get nothing with that there's something seriously wrong with your connection.
