Cant get more music on my Ipod- Please Help!

I am trying to put more music on my ipod. I had previously loaded it on via my home computer, which got wiped.

Now I have reinstalled itunes, loaded music up, but when i connect my ipod to the computer it says:

"The Ipod cannot be used because it requires Itunes 7.4 or later. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of itunes or install itunes from the CD that came with your ipod"

I have downloded the latest version of itunes. What do I do??

it could be maybe as simple as reauthorizing it again since you wiped your computer.
On the menu click on advanced and select Authorize audible account
