UPC box......recorded programmes all gone

    Our UPC box stopped working and needed to be reactivated. So I got on the phone and keyed in 131 and it came back on. So far so good. I then discovered that all the programmes that were recorded on it (hours and hours of stuff) has disappeared.

    I'm assuming there's no way to get them back. UPC are closed for the day so I have to wait until the morning to get on to them and give them all. Has this happened to anyone else?

    sorry mate your box looks like it took an update, sorry to tell you that you lost all recordings. there is no way to get them back

    Thought as much. Still, if there's one positive thing to come out of this it's that UPC have lost another customer.

    last week my digital + box lost all my planned tv programmes that were ready to tape...very annoying.. i had loads of programmes on series link and i cant remember what they were

    this has happened to me on a number of occasions - no power failure, no-one messing at the system, the planner just empties for no obvious reason. My report to the customer service website elicited a response to an entirely different problem - do they read the details their customers post at all?
