    Hi All,

Here is an update of on the challenge so far.
We had 3 new entries in May, conundrum(Sp), KentuckyPete(HIM) and BigMcE(HIM), thanks for joining and welcome!

    Gold targets hit in May
Well done to cunavalos hitting the top cycling mark

    Green targets hit in May
Swimming – Mainah, Izoard, Griffin100 and MrCresote
Cycling – n-dawg, Griffin100, MrCreoaote, Bambaata and Nomadic
    Running – DustyBin and KentuckyPete

Well done all great stuff :D

With June being the half way point in the year and we are all into racing season those with aspirations with a clean sweep of Gold by year end need to be green or close to it across the board on the next update. Those hoping to achieve a green in all 3 would have to be above average for them.

Well done to TFBubendorfer completing his first Tri in Valentia!

    Swimming

Total by all challengers 2,178,440mts (This is the equivalent to everyone on this challenge doing 8 lengths of the River Nile!!!)
Average total swimming per challenger 58,877mts (59% of green target) (24% of gold target)
    Jan avg: 13,748mts
    Feb avg: 7,720mts
    Mar avg: 16,608mts
    Apr avg: 10,324mts
    May avg: 10,477mts

Tipping away nicely. If you are putting in anything close to the average swimming distance you are sure to hit green this year.

    Cycling

Total by all challengers 50,974kms (This is the equivalent to 8 laps of the planet!!!)
Average total cycling per challenger 1,243km (62% of green target) (31% of gold target)
    Jan avg: 185km
    Feb avg: 254km
    Mar avg: 213km
    Apr avg: 314km
May avg: 276km (with all the good weather I'm surprised by this)

Most of the cyclists will hit green this year but just how many can get the gold mark. If you are a (SP) how many IMs and HIMs are you ahead of!

    Running

Total by all challengers kms 18,154km (This is the equivalent to a week in the life of Hunnymonster!!!)
Average total running per challenger 422km (42% of green target :() (21% of gold target)
    Jan avg: 103km
    Feb avg: 69km
    Mar avg: 98km
    Apr avg: 75km
    May avg: 75km

Easily the toughest target. Going Gold this year is a big big ask. I checked back over my training log from 2 years ago and even when I ran 2 marathons and I would have been well short then. Hitting green for the running part is a toughie in itself!

    The discipline leaders

Swimming – interested passing a whopping 300k mark in the water this year in May!! Izoard pushing hard to crack the top 3 but the money is on the dark horse Mainah to mix this up a bit.

Cycling – With showry having a runner/cyclist identity crisis and disappearing, cunavalos is cruising again. The IM boys are cranking up the mileage though. Anyone spotted Metaldog and asked him to join in?

Running – TFBubendorfer is out of sight for now but nuice to see some more green on this one.

How is the overall standing for the challenge?

Great work as usual with the summary MCOS. Very interesting reading.

I'm away to google the length of the river Nile and the circumference fo the planet.

PS welcome to the new entries (even though you all pushed me down the table):D

Congrats to the lads who turned a different colour. MCOS do you have any titanium coloured ink for interested:cool:

He already has an insurmountable lead in #1, I doubt another colour is required to distinguish that

He has more mileage in the water than the Dublin Swift.
