Is there an improvement on the UPC Digital+ TV Guide?

    Hey from looking around this forum there seem to be alot of problems with NTL/UPC. I have the older NTL Digital Box and it is doing my head in with the EPG TV schedule - takes a ridiculous amount of time to appear and even just checking to see what is on in an hours time often fails as the arrow doesnt appear. I am thinking of getting the new Digital + boxes as they are only a fiver extra a month - I am wonder is there an improvment on the EGP TV guide compared to the standard box? This is one of my main reasons for wanting to get the + box as I already have a 250GB DVD-HDD player which pauses live TV etc. Is it worth it do you think? Cheers.

    The EPG on the Digital HD+ boxes is also incredibly slow and unresponsive. Up to 10 seconds after clicking Guide just to be able to click on any category, randomly crashing (closing back to the TV), sometimes causing box to hang etc. Its very amatuer.

    There is a new EPG on the horizon apparently so Im hoping for a vast improvement.

    The EPG is much faster than the old Sagem boxes that Chorus used (don't know how they compare to the NTL Pace boxes), and the menus are much less hideous, but yeah the DVRs have their problems too.

    @djimi: I didn't know the HD boxes had these issues as well, have you had other trouble with it?

    Not really, just mostly relating to the guide, where it crashes and is generally slow and unresponsive. I dont really record a whole lot so I cant comment on the DVR element, but apart from the guide the box itself seems okay.
