    Hi all,

These are gone in the front passenger side wheel. Any idea of how much I should expect to pay the Ford garage to replace same?

    Thanks

    William

Why don't you ask "the ford garage"

Seems more reliable than asking us.

Seriously this is not an expensive repair. Mabye about 100 euro

Wouldn't go near a main dealer for this. Its a very simple job. Got both done on the Vectra in my local indy for €100

Common problem but simple to replace - can but done without removing front wheels. Plenty available on ebay if you want to avoid dealer prices

Thanks for replies. Garage quoted 135 for passenger side drop link. And 560 to replace timing belt.

Is it a new galaxy or one of the older ones?

135 euro for one side is crazy money, save yourself 100 Euro by buying on line and have a go yourself -doing both sides. All you need is a 17 or 19mm spanner and an allen key to hold the ball joint.

560 Euro for the timimng belt is also on the expensive side - fyi saw that Blackwater motors in Cork are offering all TDi engines t/belt, tensioner , idler, & water pump replacement for 480 Euro - (assuming you are running the pre '06 model.)

Thanks. I felt that the prices were on the high side alright.

    It's an 04 Galaxy.
