I recently did an interview for a post-graduate course in Religious Education and was asked:

"If a Buddhist was stranded on a desert island, what religious possession would they most want with them?"

    I WAS STUMPED!
    ANY IDEAS??????????????/

What bluewolf said. If the interviewer knows anything about Buddhism, then the answer is 'nothing at all'.

Whatever tools he needs to further his practice. Thangkas, incence, mala, the list goes on and changes according to who it is. For example, I would take a thangka and meditation cusion, but HH Dalai Lama would probably take a load of other stuff.

did you get an answer to this question, from the interviewers by any chance? would be interested to hear what it was.

There are potentially a whole host of answers, I would say, depending on how the question is interpreted.
