There are some guys from UPC upgrading my road at the moment. They are doing all sorts of work and putting in cable.

I'm presuming this is some sort of upgrade and not the average maintenance.

Any idea how long these upgrades take? I'd love to get HD tv or even broadband from them.

It depends on your area, some places are quite quick, you can usually pre-pregister for a service coming to your area.so it mite be worth making a caLL to them...

I had hope last year of being able to upgrade in August ... because the guys were working in my estate around this time last year. It took about 9 months before I could upgrade ... sorry, but it may take a long time!

It all depends on your neighbours really. They usually turn the bulk of an area around in less that 3 months.

I've rang them up every few weeks asking about broadband and each time they said they would register my interest etc

If I see them tomorrow morning ill stop and ask them what they are doing and how long till it's finished.

The girl on the phone today said it will take roughly 6 weeks if they just started the upgrades. But they tend to talk sh1te ya know.
