I'm fed up be harassed by the local teenagers that hang around the store, they don't leave me alone, every day they come in, refuse to leave and harass me. Management won't do anything about it, head office won't do anything about it, the guardi won't do anything about it. I feel as if I'm going to kill myself if this keeps up, it's been going on for so long now.

Go to a doctor, explain how you feel, and go off sick.

Excellant advice... look for another job while not being harrased..

Your employer has a responsibility under Health & Safety legislation to provide a safe & suitable working environment, you reported the problem, they didn't deal with so hard luck on them...
This is not your fight and don't feel bad about going out sick..

My GF and her mother were the same while ago with bullies in the work place. They were so depressed. Luckily my GF has moved on but her ma is still there. She is no on sick leave and had a seizure 2 weeks ago.

Go to your doctor, you shouldn't have to be afraid to go into work.

It depends on whether you are permanent in your job or not.
Temporary workers on short term contracts can be let go for any reason.
Basically for the first 6 months you are on probation and can be let go at will.
For the first 2 years it is easy to let you go so I'd be careful about taking time off for stress, especially in a front of house job like security or retail where a certain amount of **** from customers is expected and part of the job.

Get the advice of an employment rights specialist before taking too much time off.

I'd guess that a 1-2 week spell once of might be OK but then again thing might be a lot tighter in your sector.

I'd go to NERA and get them to write an advice letter to your managment expressing your concerns and lack of protection and safety. That might be better than hiding the real problem, the obnoxious youths, behind your stress.

Def go to the doctor. Will help put things in perspective and give you good advice.

I would chuck that job entirely , I can't see it getting any better for you , and if its making you feel that bad than you need to be out of it.
