What's wrong with creatine? It's not actually an energy supplement, but it's one of the best in general.

    Powerade is basically sugar water.

Try some caffeine. A cup of black coffee before a workout can make a big difference.

Not sure what you diet is like, but if you generally go low carb day to day. Coffee and a granary bread sandwich is pretty much what i imagine anabolic steroids are like :pac:

Creatine aids water retention in muscles and would not be considered for energy for getting pumped before gym.
As the other fella said, cup of coffee is the simpliest thing. There are many many pre workout supplements out there like N.O. Xplode which is got caffenine and taurine for energy aswell as Arginine which dialates blood vessels, gets blood flowing,i used to take alot of this stuff, but i found i was still jacked up 5 hours later and could'nt get to sleep,so be careful!

They all work great,i just dont like to take it all the time,i like to go au natural instead of relying on that stuff to get me in the gym.
The last 2 months ive been training without them, but thinking of getting a tub for my next 2 month cycle.
I enjoy using N.O. when training with a buddy, you both get pumped and work alot harder,it's not as much fun on your own.

Berocca boost :) Plenty of vitamins, minerals etc.in it with no caffeine or sugar.

It's like a shot of cocaine for tiredness!
