Have a look on Irishhiphop.com/forum every now and again. You may have to reef through a certain amount of ****e but sure that's the way with most music.

Stuff that came out in the last few months that's good:

Johnnyboy & Intox - Propaganda EP (classic underground rap sort of stuff)

Dynamic Grammar - The Grip Tape (similar sort of thing)

GMC - Filling The Hole EP (Cork emcee, house music sort of sound)

Dreadroom - Unseen & Unheard (sort of sloppy collection of tracks featuring half the emcees in Dublin, usually drunk)

Just Mikey - Just Music & Micks Tape (haven't listened to these yet, but he's a quality rapper from what I've heard)

Terawrizt had a new double CD out last month, Hot Property (Nu-centz and Rawsoul) have a new album out last month as well.

Other than that you want to check out the rap battles on youtube. They're gas. Redzer Vs. MC Dubh is up on friday on the www.youtube.com/dontflop channel. My one should be going up in another couple of weeks. A gang of us might be going over to Manchester soon to take on some of the UK heads.

Lovely beats. The rapping is a bit stop/start, and on the other track where it's more continuous it doesn't rhyme and flow that brilliantly, but it sounds pretty good all the same. Keep at it.

Ive been checking on the IrishHipHop site for many years now, even involved in a battle, and I have to say, the quality of production and talent has come on leaps and bounds over the last few years. MC's like Rob Kelly, Redzer, Nucentz, Nuggett, JohnnyBoy & Intox, Tera and Dilligenz have some serious talent and should be getting bigger probs then they are (Kelso excepted as he is doing his own thing in the states now). Production wise you have Danny Diggs, SertOne and Flip who all have immense talent also (Flip's has been globally recognized).

Im afraid this country just isnt a country that is willing to accept it into mainstream music via the charts or radio, labels with contracts etc. Just isnt a big enough market for it and therefore will always remain off radar and firmly underground.

Shame really because in the States or the UK these guys would be bigger names then they currently are.

EDIT - Also "sorry bud, but sounds to me like your from the bronx? keep it real mate!" - In a way I agree, Irish MCs should use their accents not American 'Gangsta' ones - but why is it perfectly acceptable for Irish bands to put on these cringey American or English accents? Casing Point - The Coronas. Yet nothing is ever said to them...............

Irish + Hip-Hop should never ever be put together in the same sentence, listening to this crap makes me cringe and shamed to call myself Irish, it's not for us. Please leave it alone.

No "Irish rappers" deserve any spotlight or attention or anything, makes me sick.

I agree. I also agree that people with an account shouldnt set up a new account just to say something they dont wanna say under the one they already have.
