    Hi all,

Ive had this problem with this box before, but got it back on by randomly pressing all buttons on the front, no joy now. It seems to happen when the box gets unplugged (generally its always plugged in, but I was getting electrical work done this morning in the flat & they knocked the power off). Now, the red standby light is on on the front of the box, but pressing the on/off, guide, back or ok buttons nothing happens. There is also no standby display on the front of the box!
Just wondering does anyone have a clue about this? And I should be allowed be able unplug it if I want to without it going dead!
Tried unplugging again, removing card/re-inserting it, pressing UPC button, Guide and most on the remote, no joy, just appear dead

    Cheers

I have been with Sky and UPC and I have had boxes die on the two systems.

Nice thing about UPC they replace the box for free.
The power supply in these boxes and the tuner tend to burn out it does not matter weather it's Sky or UPC.

100 Euro from Sky for a reconditioned box or free from UPC for a new box?

Things break down just give them a ring and they will replace no problem.

It came back to life though! Got it working although don't know how (tbh fluke is probably the word), I notice the 3 status lights on the box turn on (power, phone, message) briefly then it works, just wondering is there a "trick" to reboot these things like I did flukily if it happens again,

    Cheers,
