    hi,

Thinkin of buying a 07 toyota corolla (saloon). Just wondering what do people think of them and if they are reliable etc? Also wondering if anyone could let me know how they are on petrol? I know they're only a 1.4 but still pretty big car so hoping they're not too heavy on petrol. I've heard the Avensis is very heavy on petrol.

    thanks :)

The Corolla is a heavier car than the Avensis (in terms of weight) and the engine struggles more. I had both and found the 1.6 Avensis lighter on fuel.

The bigger engine is more than worth the extra tax.

Added to that, the Luna is the only Corolla to get air conditioning, (spec on Corolla Luna and Avensis Strata is practically identical)
