Hi my name is Laura. Im studying music in college and in September I have to audition for solo performance on my voice. I have been asked to get additional singing lessons over the summer to work on the health of my voice. There is a technique I use without realising it, its called the glottal stop. Many famous people use it without realising it, as it is very hard to notice sometimes unless you are listening for it, but apparently it is really bad for the health of your voice. So does anyone know a singing teacher that isnt too expensive they could suggest for me? They would have to be pretty qualified and have knowledge of the technique to help me get out of it. Also Im from county meath so preferably a singing teacher that is not too far from there.
Let me know, Thanks guys :)

I know its expensive enough - but thats the going rate for private tuition... you can go for group classes and stuff with other schools but dont get the individual tuition benifit

    Hi

€30 per 30 min lesson is very expensive I dont charge anywhere near that but then I am not in dublin.
Any singing teacher that knows what they are talking about will know how to deal with your vocal issue. One recommendation I could make is that you go the estill website and look for a teacher in your area. Failing that I would recommend you ask where you are doing your course if they know any well qualified teachers to help. But you do need to sort this problem as it can cause long term damage.

yeah thats what you would generally pay in Dublin for someone who knows what they are talking about!

I'm a vocal coach in Kildare and charge €15 for 30 minute lesson.
I don't see the point in charging people through the nose for lessons.
That's even cheap for Kildare but I don't teach for the money, I really enjoy it so the few euro is a bonus.
Unfortunately, Louth is a little far away!!
