Dell inspiron 1525 won't charge.

I have a del inspiron 1525 which is nearly 2 years old and will not charg the battery. It will run with the power lead plugged in but wont work when you pull it out. I have swapped the battery into another good machine and it charges OK. I suspect the charging circuit on the mother board is faulty. Are they easy and cheap…
