I've missed the boat for this year's applications but might apply next year. Does anyone know what the entry criteria is-as in do they just simply go off the degree? I'd be interested in doing Maths and Science teaching. I got a very high leaving cert (575) but a pretty mediocre Engineering degree (2.2).

Ok I'm not doing it or no plans to but i have an Arts Degree so know plenty who have.

It depends where you are based, some Uni's are points based,e.g,40 points,42 points depending on your Degree. UCC is points based so you would need a good Degree and most people have a Masters for extra points.

Others are based on an interview if you do not have sufficient points (Dublin i think)

Up to this year, you could sub and build points this way but this is no longer the case.

I would advise you to go to secondary schools with a cv,ask for subbing/volunteer/observation. Experience is the key :)
