Is anyone familiar with this and can advise on options to getting to rail station in Cardiff? I have relations ill in GB at moment and Ryanair is prohibitive unless booked well in advance. Just noticed that Aer Lingus are back with a Dublin to Cardiff route. I need to get to town east of Bristol and train link is good.

Years back it was an awkward airport unless you had a car.

I've been booking a few return flights DUB-BRS over the last while and getting them for aroung the EUR70 mark despite only booking a week in advance, you could get them cheaper than that if your more flexible and booking further in advance usualy. Then just 6quid I think on the bus to Temple Meads.

    Is Cardiff really cheaper?

Not been via Cardiff in a long while though, but I am hating what they are doing to Bristol at the moment making it a very crowded and badly laid out airport to get through. So probably Cardiff may be a nicer option.

Yes agree that Ryanair prices are hard to beat... just got one for 40 euro return 'all in' next week. But if I wanted a single flight today/tomorrow, this week it can be over 200 for the one leg wheras Aer Lingus to Cardiff is around 70.

So agree with Bristol being mucked up. All to do with longer runaway and now Flybe using it as 'hub' as well as Ryanair so 'growing like topsey'. The 'new' airport was a delight for a few years until they started stuffing the open area with shops etc. At least the coach connection to town is there now and more frequent at every 20 minutes.
