    Hi Guys,

Does anybody know how far Greystones Golf club is from Greystones Dart station? Is it a long walk?

Google maps are your friend. Looks like a bit over a km...maybe a little more

Is the walk steep? Would it be on a par to the walk from howth station and Deer park?

    Thanks

Not sure about that walk, but it's not bad at all.

    Thanks man,

I think I'll book a round for this week, its a pain in the ass with the wife needing the car.

If you're planning to play this week be sure to give them a call as there are competitions on (Tues & all day Wednesday) and Societies booked (Friday pm). Thursday is Ladies' Day.

The walk is gently uphill - undulating if you will - probably no more than three long par fours in length. As a brief tip: come out of the station, turn left then immediately right, past the newsagent. Walk to the top of the road and turn left at the T junction. Then turn right at the first crossroads and keep going until you reach the club at the end.

Thanks for the great advice, I was thinking of booking a tee time online for early friday morning (07.00 onwards), would I really need to call them to get a tee time that early?

There's a tee time booked at 8 and the next is 9.20 - I'm guessing you shouldn't have a problem!

So much for playing a round this week, unfortunately that plan got the chop...quite literally. My son has been getting Karate lessons from my wife and decided to try one of his foot swipes on me.....now my left wrist is wrecked, looks like I'll have to head to beaumont instead of greystones.

Nice course, old fashioned tree-lined trek with accuracy off the tee of paramount importance. One or two ordinary holes on it but some lovely holes too with very good greens.
