Ripped from the Evo 4G, apparently, but works on the Desire - except for the widget! So decide which is more important to you. No need to root your phone or anything.

For the uninitiated:

1. Download file
2. Transfer to phone
3. Download Astro File Manager from market (if you don't already have it)
4. Open YoutubeHD.apk using Astro
5. Choose upgrade
6. Agree when you get the warning about modifying a system file
