Jeans in Dublin city centre

I went shopping for jeans today in the city centre and had a few brands in mind that I wanted to look for - Levis, Wrangler and if all else failed, Pepe. Or at least some branded jeans between €70 and €100 (I'm female btw)

Went upstairs in Clerys and the selection was shocking, a rail and a few shelves of Levis and nothing else. I haven't bought jeans in Ireland for 3 years or so but the last time I got Levis in Clerys they were about €80, the cheapest there today was €105.

    Didn't go into Arnotts.

Went into BT's who did not have the brands I was looking for, and any jeans they did have were over €150. (Actually now that I think of it, I didn't try BT2 who might have had something cheaper)

Eventually went into Pepe Jeans store on Wicklow St and found there was a sale on. Got 2 lovely pairs of jeans reduced from €100 to €80 each.

Has anyone had similar difficulties finding Levis or Wrangler in the city centre, does anyone know where they are stocked?

I don't think you can get ladies' Levi's in Dublin at all, a guy in Levi's store in Belfast told me. They don't have them in Arnotts :(There's a Levi's outlet in Kildare Village, but if you're looking for current stock they most likely won't have them. Kildare Village website.

Don't know anything about Wrangler I'm afraid, have you tried their website for stockists?

Thanks, have been meaning to head out to Kildare some day.

My computer is messing up and won't open the Wrangler website for some reason. I do recall looking a year or two ago and not being able to find stockists in Dublin, things may have changed though. Shame because I quite like Wrangler. Even my local shop, McElhinneys, in Donegal no longer stocks Wrangler (and I think has stopped doing Levis as well) - they used to be very competitive on price.

I do find it quite unusual that these brands are so hard to find in the city.

I've not bought branded jeans in town for years - I tend to go to A-wear because they've got the styles I need at prices which suit a student budget! :)

Last pair of 'branded' jeans I bought was in BT2 in Dundrum and it was a pair of Hilfiger jeans (probably about 3 years ago). I paid about €50 for them in the sales after Christmas (down from about €150, if I remember correctly!)

I find branded jeans are really expensive regardless of where you go. You could try Kildare Village, but I've never really seen anything that I'd buy there (apart from one nice dress in LK Bennett!) and can't remember if I saw jeans. You'd need to take a look at the website and see what shops are there and maybe give them a ring to see if they've any in store before you travel down.

Because if you don't actually see yourself spending the money then you're not actually spending it!! :)

It could be a good idea to have a look on line and see what the prices are like and if you could get them any cheaper.

Had to get my cousins to send them from abroad :p

River island jeans are a nice cut if you can find them on right day.
