There's a Ford Mercury Monarch on donedeal for 2900 euros, doesn't look as if it needs much work either.

    Hi there,
I am looking to sell my 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo.
Good Points: 350 V8 with factory 4 bbl Rochester Carb. With HEI.
    New FireHawk Indy 500 tyres.
    Factory Strato Bucket Seats.
    Factory Sport Gauge Package.
    Centre Console with Horseshoe Shifter.
    Runs great.
Not so good points: Needs paint. Original vinyl roof caused damage, however this has been repaired and is now in Primer. Also a couple of dings etc. have been repaired and are also in primer.
Needs interior installed. However, all new interior parts (i.e. headliner, sail panels, and sun visor materials, plus various other trim parts) are all present I just didn't have time to put them in.
Needs welding on bottom of drivers side front wing (section approx. 8" X 4"). No Rot anywhere else.
Reason for sale: Expecting third child soon and is just not practical any more, and I just can't look at it laguishing in my garage any longer.
Asking €1500 O.N.O. which I think is a fair price given the original factory options and the fact that its driving well. Would be an awesome car for someone looking for a project.
Needs to go sooner rather than later. Will post pics to whoever is interested, my camera is on the blink at the minute but I'll see what I can do.
    Thanks.

Have you got an e-mail address that I can send them on to?

That sounds like a great project for somebody.
If you fancy them, American cars are extremely simple, cheap to maintain and very easy to get spares for.
They are also fast, comfortable and reliable!
Dont let any 'experts' tell you different! :)
