I just got a set , and im quite impressed .

you can hear every thing, clear as a bell,
and they are punchy and fast .

bit of a revelation really , for balancing things , i think these will be great.

Different crossover in them too, so an entirely different beast to the Studios.

I'm also curious as to where people pick these (NS10s in general) up - they don't make them anymore, right?

Ebay or the likes. You know they stopped making them because the wood pulp that they were using for the speaker cone ran out and they just couldnt get the same responses from other woods that they tried. Mad.
    Anyway theres some random info

That's a myth. You can still actually by the drivers, new, from Yamaha. AFAIK Mr. Brewer did just that. Also see this SOS article. From what I can gather, they stopped making them because they forgot why they're good, because the designer no longer works there, so there is no impetus for an improved version.

Yamaha still have stock of New woofers and tweeters.

I've sold maybe 6 sets in the last year or two.

    There is no shortage.
