Real difference between recruitment consultants and agents?

    No difference - the company is normally either called a Recruitment Agency or Recruitment Consultancy and their employees are generally called Recruitment Consultants or Recruitment Agents. Same thing

    Its rather like silly titles in business.

    Im a Salesman and I always was and hopefully always will be but I have been called a number of stupid titles in the past.

    What are Consultants and agents doing? Selling you!

    It depends on the company to be honest. Consultancies tend to be more specialised and have a wider service offering. Having said that, some companies who don't specialise or offer more than just recruitment services will also call themselves "consultancies".
