Is resetting UPC's Cisco EPC2425 to factory defaults a risk?

    Howdy,

As per the instructions found at: http://www.comhem.se/blob/view/-/14442/data/4530/-/manual_cisco.pdf.pdf one can reset their Cisco CPC2425 cable modem to factory settings by holding in the <Reboot EMTA> button for > 10 seconds. I'm just wondering does anybody know if this will require me to first call UPC? Has anybody done it before? Since I have nothing of importance set for the router, I'm not worried about losing my personal settings, I'm just worried that UPC have done some config in their too.

I'm doing this because it appears I have lost my password to the login at 192.168.1.1. I had it written down but it doesn't seem to work now.

    Thanks in advance,
    -surf.
