Im sure since you where away they would understand. Go to your FOand explain the situation. I wouldnt imagine you will have a problem. Keep us posted.

Just to clarify, was it your receipt letter or the actual grant letter? If it was the receipt then there is no problem. If it was the grant by how much are you out, day wise.

You could always go to the post office, scan your grant letter, pay your money and see what happens. The talk with your FO is a good idea though. They may re-issue you with a new grant letter or allow you to process the original.

My aplications were granted on the 14/04/10, 30 days to pay means should've been paid by May 14th !! Now I only got back from France yesterday and apparently the letters only arrived beginning of May !!

Knowing my luck the payment at the postoffice is only valid for the 30 days !!

Same happened to me; I was away and the 30-day period was up when I got my letter.

No problem at all; rang the Garda station, told them the story, they said "Off you go to the Post Office and pay your money". Licence arrived a few days later.

I know my boss applied for a mod for his .22 and 6.5x55, didnt get either. My cousin however applied and got his mod for his .22 and 6.5x55. Both wrote pretty much the same letter about shooting on farmland, close proximity to buildings, expensive bloodstock, livestock etc ?! Havnt recieved my licences yet and it says nothing on the approval letter wether u've been granted a mod or not, but fingers crossed !!
