    Hi,
Just in the process of designing my wedding invitations, we dont want them to be fancy as i feel that this may set a tone which i dont want to follow through with, i feel weddings should be more about the fun and the crack..

Could do with a some ideas, my fiance plays rugby and we are childhood sweethearts??

    Anyone have designed funny invitations??

How about 1 of those "Love is" Cartoons with a caricature of a rugby player and you?

friend of mine is an artist and her groom is a farmer so for the invites she had a bride milking a cow and a groom painting at an easel. Both were cartoon pictures but perfect for them as everyone got the joke!

what about a cartoon of him running down the rugby field with you in dress and veil tackling him to the floor.

wording could be something like - come and join the ruck

I just received a very funny wedding invitation (which was refreshing and a nice change from the overly formal doozies I've seen). The invitation itself was on beautiful paper with a satin ribbon and looked formal at first. The actual invite said "We've finally decided to quit living in sin..........and we are making it official." The response card had two options for the meal
    1. No thanks, I have something better planned
    2. Yes, nothing would delight me more.
I laughed and thought it was cute and clever. Good luck to you with whatever you decide, and bravo in considering to shake things up a little.
