Considering the previous MM thread was locked under quiet entertaining circumstances... I figure we need a fresh(and clean) one.

Whos the money going on?

Best value each way?

2 balls?

spotted a nice handy 2 ball double,i'm not one to get to greedy,
Louis OOst to beat McGinley@4/6
Green to beat Hebert(Nap)@4/9

if you want another you could do worse than
Garrido to beat Jacquelin @10/11

Haven't had a bet on the golf since Rory did the business for me at Quail Hollow but fancy a stab today. How confident are you with your two ball picks? Fancy a punt but no football and I've long given up on the horses. Might do a four-fold of your choices for an interest.

the way look at 2 ball betting is keep stakes low, these guys arn't machines so either player is capable of producing the goods on a given day
if i'm havin a big punt on golf i would prefer to do the 72 hole betting as there's often a few mis matches and the better player over the week will prevail(a fair bit of research needed though)

back a good few years ago a mate of mine caddied on the euro tour and we made some money on 2 balls back then but he's retired now

I'd love Davies to win. Had to laugh at that idiotic "go and collect" post yesterday regarding donald. Anyone who knows Golf knows that Donald is not someone to depend on.

Quite partial to the 72 hole bets myself when I see a good mismatch. Els v Mickelson was one I had a decent bet on at Open last year. 10/11 the pair which was a steal considering Phil's poor Open record. Ended up being pretty close in the end, think one stroke seperated the pair. Not exactly the romping vistory I expected but a win nonetheless. Just notice the time, bit late now for the bet anyway. Laziness is my biggest gambling enemy :)

Tournament match betting can be quite profitable but betting on matches for Saturday and sunday is going to cost you. The reason players are paired together on the weekend is because they are at the same score, hence playing generally the same calibre of golf. Add to that the margin for the bookmakers and slowly goes your money. The odd exeption to the rule may apply but not generally.

Alvaro Quiros I see is at 10's across the books. That's great value. 3 shots is nothing to him, especially at home and on a pretty open course, despite the rough being up. I think he showed just how little 3 shots is when he played the final 3 holes yesterday in -4.

That 3 shots has become 6 shots. He's putting terribly.

backing winners in golf is not easy,i agree, but when heavyballs makes a comment like that next time 'Get involved!':D
