    i'm thinking of starting a small shop but haven't been able to find out how to go about getting a shop licence and i was hoping someone could help.

    unless you're selling alcohol or preparing food or ice cream i don't believe you need a licence or anything... :confused:

    I think bigneacy is spot on here. We live in one of the most free economies in the world. Personally I believe this is becasue our politicians are too lazy to want more control over us :D, which is, for us, a good thing.

    OP, what sort of shop do you want to open?

    hey, i'm looking at opening an airsoft shop where i can sell realistic bb guns and i believe you need a licence for that. but i dont think it's a gun licence thing i need.

    oh.. that puts a different slant on things. go to your local garda station and ask are there any restrictions on selling things of that nature in your area. if they say no, go for it! :)
