    No surprise really, I never expected POC to play and Best's injury look very nasty indeed.

    Good choice on replacements IMO.

    Is he staying at home or are they taking him along like they took Flannery and O'Leary over to the Churchill Cup last year. Although, with the news about the IRFU cost-cutting, they probably cant afford to.....

    You've got to say that we're missing far to many of our players through injury, to have any real shout at a win down south. POC, Luke Fitz, Ferris, Best from the probable/possible first team, and then first choice backup in the form of Leamy, McLaughlin, Sean O'Brien, Cullen and with injury doubts over Jennings as well. Throw in poor form for some of the players, and we really look to be struggling...

    That's a huge number of injuries for a country with our playing pool to cope with. Shows why they need to try to make a stronger 4th province in the long term, or else make use of players who are playing at a decent level in the Guinness Prem either. Three teams isn't enough to supply a national team more than maybe 2 players per position, and we need more if we're going to keep developing as a rugby nation.
