    ...without representation.

With no date being set for the 3 by-elections (nor likely anytime soon), do the people in Donegal South-West, Dublin South and Waterford not have the right to desist from paying taxes?

    No, don't be ridiculous.

No Taxation - No service provision.
Fancy living without water & rubbish collection for a few months?

If it was no taxation without representation, then any migrant worker would be entitled to not pay taxes as they can neither vote nor stand in government elections. This country is rife with taxation without representation, and that's not going to stop any time soon.

    Hardly!
the love of money is greater than that. It would be enough to bring down a Gov never mind spur on a by-election.

So, youre tell me, that for empty bins and the convenience of running water, you'd give up Democracy?!

The British Empire would kick itself if it knew how easy the Irish People could have been bought. A bin and some piping.

So we'll just gloss over the rights of the citizens then...
Migrant workers are not citizens and should just be happy to have the chance to work here, taxation is just nice payback

There are a few hundred people marching each Tuesday.
Do you honestly think enough people would tell their employers to stop their PAYE payments?

How would you stop paying VAT on goods and services?
Give the supermarket 21% less at the till?

The American model from the 18th century, doesn't really apply here today.

Haven't really thought this through have you?
It's a typical left wing/anarchist/(insert what ever group you want here) propaganda chant that actually means nothing.

None of those constituencies are without TDs. Can people please desist from starting threads whose intellectual content is little more than a slogan.
