Question rather than a problem -

I drove to Kilkenny last month for work in my own car - how much per km am i entitled to? I work in the private sector and this is the first time i have used my car for business purposes. I'm being told 34c but want to double check this is corrrect.

    Thanks

It varies - each firm can set their own mileage. I am privately employed and I receive 43.5c per km. You need to talk to whoever handles your company's expenses and find out what the set rate is.

In the public sector, rates are set and the March 2009 version is available here.
