HELP: my sky isnt working and you know how to fix it

right every time i turn on my sky box there is just a green screen with faint vertical lines. i have tried fiddeling with the box and usual stuff but was just wondering did this happen to anyone before and what did you do to remedy it:)

did u try it in another scart socket and can u hear any sound?

no sound and dont have a seperate scart handy. thanks for suggestion
have you heard of this before

Is the TV working on the tuner or any of the other scarts, sounds more like the TV to me, Try powering off the sky box at the wall for 10 mins then see what happens

If you press the volume button on your remote, do your normally get a scroll bar / numbers etc? Are you still getting them?
