    Hi there,

I've applied for mental health nursing for sept 2010 as a mature student. I'm presuming your a potential mature student, and haven't applied this year? Well first things first, I've met with some mental health nusres and found it very interesting. Its 4 yrs and a total of 79 weeks placements, this is spread out throughout the 4 years, 36 weeks of this is in year 4 and its paid placement (80% nurses starting salary)

There is a process you need to go through to apply, and it's through the CAO. All the information can be found on www.nursingcareers.ie unfortunately, the application is closed for this year. We're all still in the middle of it now and don't know if we have a place yet.
I know i haven't given you much info on the course but i hope this helps a little
