Laputa, just seen it on the Android Store has loads of books, Twilight Series, LOTR among others.

Surely this is a chronic breech of copyright? even if it is nifty for downloading a few decent (i.e. not twilight) books.

Yeah, downloaded that when I first got the phone.

Apart from the ability to basically get a lot of good books for free, it doesn't seem like much of a reader. Books come in as .txt, formatting not great, etc. I didn't spend much time with it in the end.

Aye I am using Aldiko and Calibre to convert downloaded books, the ereader on laputa is awful.

I am more just wondering how such flagrant copyright abuse gets past Google...

Same here. Aldiko and Calibre is perfect. Been reading loads of books on my Android since I got it.
